Q: What is a preset?
A: Presets are used in Lightroom and ACR to edit photos, they are a "pre-set" collection of edits to help create a specific look/vibe and keep photos looking cohesive.
Q: Who are these for?
A: Everyone! Photography pros, beginners or enthusiasts, I think everyone can benefit from consistent and efficient editing. This preset is user friendly, so even if you haven't used a preset before I think you'll find this one easy and simple to use.
Q: Why do I need to use a preset?
A: You don't, but it'll make your life a whole lot easier! 🙂 I used to hand edit every. single. image. It took forever! Presets will speed up your process + help get your photos looking cohesive and consistent.
Q: Will I have to make lots of tweaks using these presets?
A: Sometimes a few minor tweaks will be necessary! I don't believe any preset is truly "one click and you're done", but these are a great start! I usually only need to adjust the exposure, colour balance and contrast when using these presets.
Q: What do I need to use these presets?
A: You will need Lightroom or Adobe Camera RAW.
Q: Are these the presets you use on your work?
A: YES! I have been tweaking and re-tweaking these presets for over 5 years! I use them on ALL of my work!
Q: How would you describe this preset?
A: It's moody, warm, earthy and natural. It deepens tones without losing colour. It provides natural skin tones without making people look too orange or grey. It's natural, but it will definitely give you that "edited" photo look.
