The Lockes: 06.24.17

As the 2017 wedding season comes to an end I finally have some time to start blogging all the beautiful weddings I was able to be a part of this year! One of these was Oliver + Lindsay’s elegant barn wedding in Bass River, Nova Scotia. I remember long before their wedding Lindsay sent me photos of a family member’s barn they were going to fix up to have their wedding in. Seriously, MY DREAM! For real, anything rustic/outdoor/barn related is 100% up my ally. I was pumped!

On the day of their wedding it was calling for rain so they made the last minute decision to have their ceremony indoors. Lindsay showed me their backup location inside the barn and asked if it was okay — my jaw literally dropped. I think I may have screamed “THIS IS THE BACKUP LOCATION?!” while jumping for joy haha 🙂 Needless to say it was one of the most beautiful ceremony/reception locations I’ve ever been to. Not only was their ceremony beautiful, but their entire DAY was just amazing. The rain stopped during the ceremony and we were able to continue with the outdoor photos with no problem at all (except fighting off a million mosquitos, but it turned out okay because we found some bugspray in the car lol!)

Lindsay + Oliver are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. They have such huge hearts for each other, for the Lord and for everyone around them – it was so evident throughout their whole day. They’re the type of people that make you feel like you’ve been friends for years, Jake and I had an amazing time shooting with them and their awesome bridal party! (PS that backflip photo ended up being featured twice online!)
